Steps to request Cheque Book Online in SBI through Online SBI Portal

1) Login to Online SBI Account using your Internet Banking Username and Password.

2) Select the E-Services option on the Top Menu.

3) Select the second link in the left Sidebar which says Cheque Book.

4) Select the Bank Account for which you want to request Cheque Book and choose appropriate Options to request SBI Cheque Book :

  • Multi City Option : Select YES if you want a Multi City Cheque Book, otherwise Select NO
  • Number of Cheque Books : Select the number of cheque books(1 or 2) you want to request.
  • Number of Cheque leaves : Select the number of Cheque Leaves you want in the Cheque Book(s) i.e., 25, 50 or 100.
  • Instrument Sub Category : Select the type of Cheque Book you want to request i.e., Bearer Cheque or Order Cheque.

Bearer Cheque : The person holding the cheque can collect the amount mentioned if it is a bearer cheque.

Order Cheque : The person in whose favour the cheque is issued or a person authorized by him can only collect the amount mentioned if it is an order cheque.

Note : For all those who are paying the Fee by Demand draft / cheque should make it in favour of ‘NSDL – PAN’ payable at Mumbai.

For Paperless Application, the process gets completed here and you will get Acknowledgement Number. You will get another copy of the acknowledgement on your registered email address.

8) Once you Submit your Application (Other than Paperless Application), you will get a copy of the Form in PDF Format with an Acknowledgement Number. You will get another copy of the form on your registered email address.

10) You need to enclose the following documents in an Envelope :  Demand Draft/Cheque (If you didn’t pay Online), Form, and photostat copies of the supporting Documents of your Address, Identity & Date of Birth (If you have Aadhaar Card, it is sufficient and you don’t need any other Proof). Do remember that the Document(s) should be self attested. Remember to write the Acknowledgement Number on the reverse side of the Demand Draft/Cheque.

11) Superscribe the Envelope with the heading ‘Application for PAN CHANGE REQUEST – Acknowledgment Number’.

For Example : Let’s take your Acknowledgement Number as 20117211009. Now the heading on the envelope should be ‘Application for PAN CHANGE REQUEST – 20117211009’.

12) Finally you need to Send this Envelope to NDSL Office, PUNE :

Important Note : Do remember that the Envelope with your PAN Address Change Application and the Supporting Documents should anyhow reach the NSDL Address within 15 days after you get the Acknowledgement. 6) Student Account : Student Account as the name says is an account for the Students. This is usually a custom account made by the Bank through the School Authorities and is not available directly at the branch.

Steps to Open a Bank Account in SBI

1) Gather the required KYC Documents : The first and the foremost thing to do is to gather all the necessary KYC documents to open a Bank Account in SBI. Steps to Apply for SBI Credit Card against Fixed Deposit

1) First of all you need to Open a Fixed Deposit in SBI of the desired amount. You must make sure that the amount is not less than Rs.20,000. You can open the Fixed Deposit either by visiting the Branch or Online through SBI Internet Banking. If you opt to pay EMI for FD for a period of 11 months, then you will need to sign the Auto Debit mandate as well. Monthly EMIs will be debited from your account for 11 months for the following amount :

  • Encash amount of Rs. 25,000 –EMI for Rs. 2,500/month
  • Encash amount of Rs. 50,000 –EMI for Rs. 5,000/month

2) Fill the SBI Advantage Plus Card application form & Sign the lien authorization letter. The Fixed Deposit will have a lien in favor of SBI Cards.

3) Attach the copy of required self-attested KYC Documents as per RBI guidelines (Address & ID Proof Documents).

4) Submit the application form to SBI Branch.

5) Upon successful validation of your information and documents, you will receive SBI Advantage Plus Card within 2-3 weeks.

To make SBI Credit Card Payment by SBI Mobile Banking with the SBI Freedom Application you need to Send SMS MBSREG to 9223440000 to receive User ID and Default MPIN, after that download State bank Freedom application either on the link received on sms or directly from Google Play, App Store or Blackberry world, then Change the default MPIN through State Bank Freedom application, Complete registration process instantaneously by visiting State Bank ATM, Activate using State Bank ATM-cum-Debit card at any State Bank ATM. Choose ‘Mobile Registration > Mobile Banking Registration > Registration : Enter your 10 digit mobile number, which should be already registered with the Bank.

6) Electronic Bill Payment

To make SBI Credit Card Payment by Electronic Bill Payment you need to Log in to the net banking page of the State Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Citibank or Bank of India where you have a bank account, after that Add ‘SBI Card’ as a biller, Fill in the details about your card number and payment amount and make the payment.
