Step 3) Gather the Required Documents

Once you review the Credit Card Options, you need to gather your necessary documents in order to apply for a SBI Credit Card.  Also, you will need to keep the following information and documents handy :

  • Fifth character in PAN i.e. “S” in the PAN above represents first character of the PAN Card holder’s Last Name/Surname in case of an Individual, OR name of the Entity, Trust, society, or organisation in case of a Company/ HUF/ Firm/ AOP/ BOI/ Local Authority/ Artificial Judicial Person/ Govt.
  • Next four characters in PAN i.e. “1143” in the PAN above are numeric series running from 0001 to 9999.
  • Last character in PAN i.e. “L” in the above PAN is an alphabetic check digit.

To make SBI Credit Card Payment by Online SBI you need to login to onlinesbi.com by entering your SBI net banking user ID and password, Click on ‘Bill Payments’ Option and then go to ‘Manage Biller’ section, Select the Add option in ‘Manage Biller’ and opt for All India billers and select ‘SBI Cards and Payment Services Pvt. To make SBI Credit Card Payment by SBI Mobile Banking with the SBI Freedom Application you need to Send SMS MBSREG to 9223440000 to receive User ID and Default MPIN, after that download State bank Freedom application either on the link received on sms or directly from Google Play, App Store or Blackberry world, then Change the default MPIN through State Bank Freedom application, Complete registration process instantaneously by visiting State Bank ATM, Activate using State Bank ATM-cum-Debit card at any State Bank ATM. Choose ‘Mobile Registration > Mobile Banking Registration > Registration : Enter your 10 digit mobile number, which should be already registered with the Bank.

Quick Funds Transfer with QR code

A facility is available at pre-login and post login areas of State Bank Anywhere Mobile app, where Beneficiary needs to create a QR code. QR code would be created by entering the details like Name, A/c Number, IFSC Code etc.

Steps to Transfer Funds with QR Code

  1. State Bank Anywhere App generates the QR code. The beneficiary has to either show the QR code on his/her mobile phone to the remitter (a State Bank Anywhere user), or gives the QR code to the remitter (a State Bank Anywhere user).
  2. The remitter will have to sign in to State Bank Anywhere Mobile App and Scan the QR code on the mobile phone of the beneficiary using the camera of his/her smartphone, or Or will have to read the QR code received through email or image gallery.
  3. State Bank Anywhere application decodes the QR code and automatically shows the beneficiary details and provides important information like Name, A/c No, IFSC, amount etc.
  4. Finally, the remitter will need to enter the “Amount” and “Remarks” and and proceed for payment. Prior registration of the beneficiary is not required!

Note : At present, Creation and Scanning of QR Code is only available on Android devices.

Quick Funds Transfer without QR Code

Users of State Bank Anywhere App can now make instant money transfer to beneficiaries without registration.

Steps to Transfer Funds without QR Code

  1. First of all you need to Login to State Bank Anywhere Mobile application using internet banking Username and Password.
  2. Then you need to Select Quick Transfer >> Send Money in Banking Menu page.
  3. Now you need to enter the Beneficiary details manually and click on “Submit”.
  4. Finally you will need to Confirm the details and finish the transaction with OTP(One Time Password) received on your registered mobile number.

Note : This feature to transfer funds without QR Code is currently available on State Bank Anywhere Version 4.0.0 on Android and iOS. It would be also be available for other platforms shortly.

M-Passbook in State Bank Anywhere App

State Bank of India Employees 

Not many of you might be knowing but State Bank of India is among the largest employers of India. As on 31 March 2014, there are 222,033 people who are working for SBI.
